FIELD is implementing Community Learning Program (CLP) in partnership with Plan International Pakistan in 11 Plan supported communities Islamabad.
FIELD is responsible to carry out four major programs under this partnership;
1. Strengthening Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in all the squatter slums areas of the communities by inculcating sustainability element into the program.
2. Strengthening ECE in government schools through technical and financial support to 50 Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) schools in implementing ECE syllabus derived from National ECE Curriculum 2007. Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) are encouraged to participate school improvement efforts through developing and implementing school improvement plans.
3. Initiation of a certificate program at primary level for 9-14 years children who are out of school due to any reasons by introducing accelerated and condensed Fast Track Primary Education (FTPE) syllabus and help the underprivileged children of the specific age group to pass 5th class in two and half years time period.
4. Emphasizing on parenting skills through capacity building, advocacy and campaigns on importance of education for children and enrollment of 4+ children to schools. Education committees in each community are actively involved in education program.
